Current Projects need your support
From the waters of the Missouri River to the Badlands and Black Hills, from the elk of the west to the
pheasants of the east, South Dakota is home to a unique array of lands, waters, and wildlife. These resources
are a special heritage that helps forge us as a people. They represent a legacy that we are obligated to pass
on to future generations.
That is why the South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation is launching a campaign to enroll at least 1000 South Dakotans and others who love the state as "Friends of Parks and Wildlife." South Dakota's local and state governments have been good stewards of our natural resources and recreation areas, but more needs to be done. Taking action now to conserve wildlife and the places they live is the key to ensuring they survive for future generations to enjoy. Increasingly, private support is needed to conserve these public places.
The South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation has been working quietly for over two decades to conserve our state's natural resources and it has a solid record of accomplishment. The Foundation recently increased its efforts to conserve the State's great places before they are lost; to meet the needs of our youth for outdoor recreational and educational opportunities; and to provide South Dakotans and their guests with access to public places to hunt, fish, hike, bike, and enjoy the unique beauty of our state.
For a minimum contribution of $25, donors can become a "Friend of Parks and Wildlife."
"Friends" will receive a free, one year subscription to the Conservation Digest and a windowsticker declaring the
donor a "Friend of Parks and Wildlife."
Donors giving $100 or more will receive these gifts and will also be invited to participate in annual regional forums
on state parks and wildlife.
Donors of $1000 or more will also be listed as sponsors of these forums and will receive a State Park annual
entrance license.
These token gifts are simply a sign of our appreciation for your donation. However, the greatest benefit of being a
"Friend" is becoming a stakeholder in the movement to conserve South Dakota's great places. Become a "Friend of Parks and Wildlife"
online, or print this form and mail it in.
Thank you for being a friend!
