Current Projects need your support
In addition to the Friends of Parks and Wildlife program, The Legacy Society and gift contributions, there are other ways to support the conservation and management of our State's natural resources.
If you love South Dakota and its outdoor heritage, you are sure to support one or more of the current projects for which the South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation is seeking financial support.
You may also choose to support your favorite park or program. If your favorite isn't on the list on the contribution page, just contact the Foundation and discuss your intent.
You may have a new idea for a park or program or wildlife production area. Please contact the Foundation to discuss your ideas.
Certain needs will never change - the need for more public access hunting and fishing, more outdoor education and activities for youth, families, and adults, improvement and expansion of our public parks and recreation areas. But some future needs cannot be foreseen, and priorities are ever changing. A gift for the unrestricted use of the Foundation will be used to meet emerging issues in lands, waters, and wildlife and make certain your donation is put to the best possible use.
If you have estate and beneficiary gifts designated to the South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation, and you're willing to share the news of your deferred gift, we will list you as a member of our Parks and Wildlife Legacy Society. You will receive a beautiful pheasant stick pin, and more importantly, will encourage others to consider Leaving a Legacy.
Many of the Great Places in the South Dakota Parks system have plenty of enjoyable, meaningful work for volunteers. There are opportunities to teach, plant, greet, and much more. You can volunteer for an hour or a summer. For more information, visit the "Volunteering"site at South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks.
